**Case Study Introduction** The AeroScout ME equipment management solution introduced in this case attaches AeroScout Wi-Fi tags to ME equipment that needs to be managed, such as infusion pumps, syringe pumps, and ventilators. The Wi-Fi tags emit Wi-Fi signals at set intervals, ranging from a few seconds to several minutes. By receiving the signals emitted by the tags through existing wireless LAN access points installed within the facility, the location of the tags can be calculated and displayed on a map. At the Royal Huddersfield Hospital and the Calderdale Royal Hospital in West Yorkshire, UK, a real-time location system (RTLS) was implemented in just seven days to track 1,000 critical medical devices, including ventilators, infusion pumps, personal protective equipment (PPE), and wheelchairs. Clinicians can quickly locate clean and available equipment, while medical technicians can optimize cleaning and maintenance, making more equipment readily available. The RTLS platform offers many options to enhance safety and efficiency, and automatic temperature monitoring has already been added.
